About Us

Founded under the name Buckley & Parrett, the firm now known as Parrett, Porto, Parese & Colwell, P.C. has been in continuous operation since 1962. The initial emphasis of the firm’s practice was on individual clients, primarily in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, wills, probate, and family law. As the firm’s corporate and business clientele, and the complexity of their legal needs, continued to expand the firm's size and areas of practice grew as well.

 

Today, to meet the ever-changing needs of its clients, the firm’s philosophy continues to center on building positive relationships with each client by providing high quality, comprehensive, and when needed, aggressive representation. Through hard work, skill, integrity, and experience, we have earned a reputation for expending whatever effort is necessary to achieve a positive result for our clients, whether through litigation, alternative dispute resolution, or appearances before administrative agencies, boards, and commissions.

Although Parrett, Porto, Parese & Colwell has grown, our clients still benefit from the same personal attention and dedication that was the hallmark of the firm when we began more than 60 years ago. With a staff of talented attorneys and experienced and dedicated support staff, Parrett, Porto, Parese & Colwell has the critical mass to be able to provide effective legal representation for our larger corporate and real estate clients, yet remains small enough to serve as concerned and engaged legal advisors for our individual clients.
