Richard J. Parrett
Before founding the law firm that was the
predecessor of Parrett, Porto, Parese, & Colwell in 1961, Dick
Parrett served proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War. After
returning to the states and receiving his Baccalaureate degree from
the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown,
Dick settled in the town of North Haven, Connecticut and established
a law practice that would soon become an important part of the
greater New Haven community.
Attorney Parrett's years of experience have
provided him the opportunity to practice law in a multitude of
areas. Over the course of his career, he has represented numerous
clients in civil litigation, both as plaintiffs and defendants.
Although his career as an attorney has kept him busy, he has always
found time to contribute his expertise and skills to the community
in a variety of ways.
Dick now practices in the areas of civil
litigation and estate planning, while also resolving disputes in his
capacity as a certified mediator and arbitrator.
