Hamden and Guilford Attorney, Louis M. Federici

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Louis M. Federici completed his undergraduate studies at Drexel University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. He went on to law school at Villanova University where he was the recipient of the Law Alumni Award in 1986-1987 and obtained his J.D. in 1987. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar later that same year. Following law school, Mr. Federici was a Legal Research Clerk for the Connecticut Superior Court.

Mr. Federici joined Parrett, Porto, Parese & Colwell in 1988 and is a principal in the firm. His practice is primarily in litigation, including personal injury, employment law, worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation and social security disability. Mr. Federici was a presenter at the Fundamental of Worker’s Compensation seminar in May 2009 and Worker’s Compensation Law & Practice in January 2010.

He is an active member of the legal, business and service communities. Mr. Federici belongs to and serves in a leadership capacity for numerous organizations including serving as a member of the Guilford Board of Finance, a member of the Board of Directors for New Haven Home Recovery (past president), Former Member of the Executive Board of BSA, CT Yankee Council and Past President of the Hamden Jaycees. In addition, he is a member of the New Haven County and Connecticut Bar Associations, (Litigation Committee) and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. As part of his Bar Association Service, Mr. Federici coordinates volunteers to provide free legal consultations at The Hospital of Saint Raphael’s Care Card Program.
