Joseph M. Porto

Mr. Porto, a New Haven native, is a principal in the firm. His areas of focus include civil litigation in both state and federal courts with a primary focus on personal injury, workers compensation, product liability, appeals, criminal law, debtor and creditor law, labor and employment litigation, zoning, and land use.

Prior to joining the firm in 1996, Mr. Porto earned his B.A. from Trinity College in 1993 before going on to law school at the Quinnipiac University School of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and obtained his J.D. in 1996. He was subsequently admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1996 and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1997.

He is a member of the New Haven County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations as well as the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, Mr. Porto is a past member of the Board of Directors of Boys Village (2001-2005).

Mr. Porto is married with 3 children and lives in North Haven.
