Chris R. Nelson
A Hamden native, Chris attended the University of
Connecticut where he earned a dual degree in Political Science and
Sociology. After college, he went on to attend Quinnipiac University
School of Law at nights while working fulltime in the Bridgeport
Superior Court’s Clerks Office. Having interned with Parrett, Porto,
Parese & Colwell during law school, Chris joined the firm as an
attorney in 2005.
Chris has an extremely varied practice, but
focuses mainly in the areas of commercial law and devotes a
substantial portion of his time to litigation in State and Federal
Court. He is currently a co-chair of the CBA-YLS’s Commercial Law
Committee; a member of the CBA’s Executive Committee on Legal
Technology, and the Secretary of the New Haven County Bar
Associations Young Lawyers. Additionally, Chris sits as the Chairman
of the Town of Hamden Technology Commission and has been recently
admitted into the New Haven Inn of Court.
